"I think having defense experience gives me an incredible edge because I know what can be defended and what can’t be defended."

Brewster S. Rawls is the Founder and President of Rawls Law Group, a veteran-owned law firm specializing in representing veterans and military families in Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) cases arising from negligent medical care provided by VA and military healthcare professionals.

With over 30 years of experience exclusively as a litigation attorney, Brewster is among the most experienced medical malpractice lawyers you will find anywhere. He is well-known for being able to get to the core of issues of almost any case and focusing on what matters to get the best results for his clients.

Raised in a military family, Brewster served as a Field Artillery Officer in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) before pursuing a legal career. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond Law School and a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Politics from Wake Forest University.

Under his leadership, Rawls Law Group has developed nationwide prominence in handling FTCA cases, frequently representing veterans and military families across the country.
