"One of the first things you learn as a newbie novelist is there are no new ideas. There are only eight to ten plots in the world. Anything you’ve watched, read, or listened to is a deviation of some plot that’s already been used over and over again."
Brian Cuban is a Dallas-based attorney, author, and addiction recovery advocate. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Brian has been in long-term recovery from alcohol, cocaine, and bulimia since April 2007.
He has authored several books, including his memoir, The Addicted Lawyer: Tales of The Bar, Booze, Blow, & Redemption, which provides an unflinching look at how addiction and mental health issues impacted his legal career and how he found redemption in recovery. His first book, Shattered Image: My Triumph Over Body Dysmorphic Disorder, chronicles his personal experiences with eating disorders and body dysmorphic disorder. In his fiction debut, The Ambulance Chaser, Brian tells the story of a lawyer who becomes a fugitive to prove his innocence and save his abducted son. Beyond writing, Brian is a sought-after speaker, sharing his journey to inspire others and promote compassionate legal communities. He currently resides in Dallas with his wife and two cats.
The inaugural edition of the Trial Lawyer's Journal set a new standard for law journal publications. With limited ads and one-of-a-kind content, it was created to celebrate wins both in and outside the courtroom.
