Conrad Saam is the founder and president of Mockingbird Marketing, an agency dedicated exclusively to legal marketing.
Prior to establishing Mockingbird, he led marketing efforts at Avvo, where he played a pivotal role in transforming the platform from a nascent concept to a leading legal directory through advanced search engine optimization strategies. Conrad is the author of “Own the Map,” published by the American Bar Association, and “The FindLaw Jailbreak Guide.” He co-hosts the “Lunch Hour Legal Marketing” podcast with Gyi Tsakalakis and serves as a Google Small Business Advisor. Throughout his career, Conrad has been an outspoken critic of unethical practices in legal marketing, often highlighting misleading tactics employed by vendors. He once purchased the keyword “mesothelioma lawyer” for $4.76 to demonstrate the pitfalls of certain marketing strategies. Additionally, he humorously exposed the superficiality of some legal accolades by obtaining a “Top 10%” award for his chicken, Zippy.
