Derek M. Hays is the founder of Derek Hays Law, located in Lawrenceville, Georgia. With over 25 years of experience, he has secured more than $125 million for clients affected by personal injury, wrongful death, and medical malpractice.
Derek’s path to law was unconventional. Initially pursuing a career in advertising and animation, he later found his true calling in personal injury law, driven by a desire to serve others—a value instilled during his upbringing as the son of a preacher. This background fostered a deep sense of empathy and commitment to helping those in need.
Throughout his career, Derek has been recognized among Georgia’s elite trial lawyers, consistently acknowledged for his work on behalf of victims of car wrecks, nursing home negligence, medical malpractice, and other personal injury claims.
