"Being from a big family, I seem to have this weird sense where I pick up on emotional and physical cues, just very naturally where other people just overlook them."

Steven B. Barrett is a Principal at Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin, where he serves as Co-Chair of the Litigation Department and Chair of the Personal Injury Practice Group. With a legal career spanning over three decades, Steven has dedicated himself to representing individuals who have suffered catastrophic losses due to negligence. His practice focuses on medical malpractice, personal injury, sexual assault and abuse cases, constitutional claims involving police misconduct, and asbestos litigation.

Steven’s journey into law was influenced by his early aspirations of becoming a doctor or a rabbi, ultimately finding his true calling in the legal profession. He attributes his ability to connect with juries and clients to his thoughtful interactions in everyday life, a skill honed over years of practice.

Throughout his career, Steven has achieved significant jury verdicts and settlements, earning him a reputation as a premier trial attorney in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Since 2005, he has secured settlements and verdicts totaling over $100 million for his clients.
